Heartware is having a event @ The Atrium (Dhoby Ghaut MRT) from today till 31 December 2007.

JOB SCOPE: help to encourage members of public (especially youths) to pledge volunteer hours for Volunteer Hosting Organisations (VHOs) via online portal, Youth Bank.

Important Dates needed for help:
24 Dec (Christmas Eve)25 Dec (Christmas Day)

Weekday Timing
Shift 1: 11am to 6pm
Shift 2: 3pm to 9pm
Shift 3: 6pm to 9pm

20 - 23, 26 - 31 Dec --> People needed also.
Weekend Timing
Shift 1: 10am to 6pm
Shift 2: 3pm to 9-10pm

Upon completion of event, please submit generated forms by school reopen 11 Jan 2008.

hi there mentors...

FIRSTLY
I GOT to apologised...FOR forcing you people to attend this Passion Synergy camp...

BUT i cant admit that when i send the email... NO ONE reply me... i was super angry
so me and Ling hui made it compulsory after the mail...

IT seems that it is still the same...only 5-6 people reply me...

NOW... here is the camp thing ..
its annual camp...
its a community service based camp...
everything is about community services...

and also..
we will need committment but NOt as stressful as last year...
we had changed and so do the camp...

a chance is needed for us to improve...
and i hope all can make it withoug forcing...

Yo Mentors!

Firstly, There is a booth which sells Rubber Ducks For SCS this coming JULY 23 to 25th july ar canteen one or two... We need people to tend the booth from 11am to 2pm during lunch hours...

Minimum hours of tending the booth is 2 hours.. one cca point will be given for 2 hours of tending the booth..

It is organised by Passion Synergy

This camp is can give you more opportunities to know more about community services as well as activities which build up leadership and teamwork.

There is an overseas community service project this coming holiday after your final exams!

Calling out to all Passion Synergy and members of the 7 CCA Clubs!

Ms Leong will be leading a team of roughly 18 people.

Myanmar Project 2007 Date: 24 Sept - 8 Oct (15 days)
Cost: $550 (after subsidy) / $1100 (no subsidy)

Programme Highlights :
Will be visiting three Day-Care Centres, painting a wall mural, getting wooden floor tiling, lessons for the children, and many more activities that would be a unique experience!

Registration:
Express interest in the trip by replying to cca_pass@np.edu.sg with your name and HP by 8 July, Saturday.

Take note that there will be an interview for all applicants the following week.

hi to all, i am helping joanne to post this : please help out!

wahhahs! this coming july 3rd, 4th, 5th JULY (tues to thurs) there will be a blood donation drivedriving its way to NGEE ANN POLY!

it's joanne's first time organising a campus wide event.(yeah! =D) and she will definitely need the support of you lovely pple!!!PLEASE SUPPORT BY!

-Donating blood! (YES PLS DO THAT! one packet can save up to 3 lives!!)
-publicising about the drive, to your friends, family, relatives etc (and get them to do the same!!doesn't have to be from NP)
-coming down to help us out for the drive( we need MANPOWER!!)

hmmm.there are myths about donating blood like
-getting fatter
-its so painful etc etc

FIRST EVENT
Wealth Of Love 2007

Hi! all the mentors,

Leo Club is having their annual Wealth of Love 2007 event with a very different focus this time

- environmental focus: Collection of Recyclable Items

Event Day: 1 July 2007 Sunday

Time: 9am to 5pm

Meeting Time: 830 am

Areas: Toa Payoh District (refer to poster)

Collection Items: newspaper, clothes, toys etc from residents

Funds raised will go to Moral Home for the Disabled to fortify the effort in meaningful cause.

CCA points, lunch and beverage will be provided. There will be a prize for the Club with the most number of members who turned up. (Individual sign ups not included).

This can be a good bonding opportunity for your CCA group. Please sign up as a Club =D.

Registration can be made by sending a listing of your club's member's name, student number, contact number and course to wealthoflove2007@gmail.com

Furthermore, they are also collecting items - Clothing, Magazines, Old toys and metal containers as part of pre event fund raising. If you have any of the items listed above, do drop by the booth in ATRIUM with these items on 25th and 28th May 2007, 10am to 5pm

Ten Tons

BA CARES is having a upcoming activity that needs a lot of your help!

Garangunee collection has always been BA Cares forte and they would like to capitalize on their experience to aim for a more ambitious target – TEN TONS -an island wide newspaper collection while creating a Guinness World Record.

Event Day: 14 July 2007 Saturday
Time: 9am to 1.30pm
Meeting Time: 830 am
Areas: All over Singapore, register to choose your favourite destination (refer to poster)
Collection Items: newspaper, used electronic goods and clothes from residents and corporations.

The extensiveness of this project would require many volunteers who we hope to recruit from NP, secondary schools and other keen organizations. Funds raised will go to selected Voluntary Welfare Organizations to fortify their efforts in various meaningful causes.

With this project, the aims are:
Do our part for the environment
Inspire the public to do their bit for the environment
Engage youths in community involvement
Support the various efforts of VWOs
Encourage volunteerism
Create the Guinness World Record
Develop the potential of future leaders in entrepreneurship
Character building skills for students participation
Enrich ourselves in various skills such as volunteer management

The list of nominated VWOs that have been selected to be beneficiaries are as follow:

2. Movement for Intellectually disabled of Singapore (MINDS)
3. Alzheimer's Disease Association
4. Assisi Home and Hospice
